Speaking of childhood memories -- this 1978 Shaw Brothers flick featuring five kung fu fighters with supernatural fighting abilities also rocked my world.
They were called the Poison Clan:
Kuo Chiu played the Lizard, who could walk on walls;
Lu Feng was the Centipede, who could fuck you up with his poisonous sweeping legs;
Lo Mang was the Toad, who had impenetrable skin (save for one weak spot);
Sun Chien was the Scorpion who had a deadly kick;
but my favorite was Wei Pei - a badass Snake dude who had poisonous fingers.
Chiang Sheng played the young student, sent by the master of all the clan to test out who had stayed good ... and who had gone bad...
